Cupcake

Cupcake is a spoken word artist (or “Slam Poet”) originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

After beginning her poetry career by shakily performing for the first time at the Artists’ Quarters in St.Paul, Cupcake then moved south to become a staple member of the Austin Poetry Slam scene.

Cupcake produced her first chapbook entitled FTW! shortly before competing in the Women of the World Poetry Slam competition in 2011.

She and her “Austin B-sides” teammates also competed at Southern Fried 2011 in Atlanta Georgia.

She is currently working on a collection “things about love” which she plans to entitle “Love is for Suckers, Not Cupcakes.”
